Shore Orthotics-Prosthetics specializes in customized, high-tech orthoses
and prostheses and is familiar with all types of devices, materials, and
components. They utilize these resources to make the most informed decision
together with each patient and his or her physician or therapist.
Prostheses and Orthoses are custom designed of materials and components
that will be pleasing and most appropriate for the patient's lifestyle,
general health and goals.
For example, there are numerous devices available for specialty activities,
such as golfing, skiing, bowling, writing, running, bicycling, gymnastics,
fishing, water sports, ice skating and more. Acrylics, epoxies, synthetic
rubbers, graphite composites and/or other lightweight advanced plastics
are used for the most comfortable fit and usage.
Practitioners at NSOP will analyze each patient's personal circumstances
and needs and make specific equipment recommendations to the patient and
his or her physician.
NSOP has worked extensively with a variety of pediatric and adult patients
and diagnoses, including Scoliosis, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Diabetes,
spinal cord injuries, Muscular Dystrophy, Anteriolosclerosis, traumatic
