It
is the mission of North Shore Orthotics-Prosthetics to provide
high-quality orthoses and prostheses to all of its physically-challenged
patients and to be responsive to the needs of all patients and their physicians
in a manner which is condusive to helping patients return to a productive
and meaningful life.
Patient care, training, and dedication is emphasized at NSOP. Whether
the patients' prosthetic/orthotic needs are a result of illness, traumatic
injury, or congenital problems, their rehabilitation is carefully formulated
to meet their special needs.
Patients are encouraged to become active participants in determining their
own individualized care and to ask questions to become better informed
consumers. NSOP provides informational videos and other materials to aid
in the process of understanding how orthotics/prosthetics will impact
their lives.
Physicians and other health care professionals are assisted in formulating
prescriptions and in examining and evaluating the patient's needs in relation
to their illness or functional loss.
All fittings and fabrications are done in a timely manner; and each patient
is trained in the proper use of his or her prosthesis/orthosis. North
Shore Orthotics-Prosthetics extends continuity of services to all its
patients. Practitioners are available for follow-up adjustments, monitoring,
and evaluation of patient progress. Individualized fittings, alignments,
and adjustments are performed until the patient is able to meet his or
her highest level of performance and comfort.
Patients' health, recovery, and quality of life are top priority at North
Shore Orthotics-Prosthetics.
North
Shore Orthotics-Prosthetics has several managed care contracts and is
